Oggi 14 febbraio 2013 a Ben Pearce hanno fatto un bel regalo: la sua “What i Might Do” è Disco d’Oro. Numero uno da più di tre settimane nella classifica Dance di iTunes e terzo in quella generale, Pearce si aggiudica il terzo posto anche nella classifica ufficiale F.I.M.I/Gfk Top Digital Download. In breve tempo ha conquistato tutto l’airplay radiofonico e attualmente si trova al 21esima posizione del Nielsen Music Control e di Earone. Il video nella hitlist Italia su Mtv ha raggiunto quasi 1 milione e mezzo di views solo sul canale EgoTv.

Nato e cresciuto nella periferia di Manchester, Ben Pearce è oggi uno dei dj più quotati sulla scena deep house UK.  “What I Might Do” è stato nominato Essential New Tune da Pete Tong su BBC Radio 1. In Manchester (UK), Ben cut his teeth with many years running and DJ-ing for a successful night and is now producing records with an ever filling gig diary. With a childhood spent enjoying heavy metal and pop punk, he moved into electronic music in his late teens.

His first full length EP is a track tipped to be one of the tracks of the year, with the radio exclusive on 07.09.12 by Pete Tong on his Radio1 Essential Mix. The track has been highly supported by names such as Solomun, David August, Waifs & Strays, H.O.S.H, Tiger & Woods. The “What I Might Do” EP lands on MTA Records/Under The Shade on 01.10.12 with remixes from Adam Shelton, Bonar Bradberry (PBR Streetgang & Harry Wolfman).

A remix for swedish band Sailor & I was released for a free download via his facebook page in June, and several other tracks are poking their way out onto the circuit including a follow up release on Under The Shade “Just Enough”.

In late 2011, Ben was made Creative Director at Purp & Soul; an already established brand by friend Chris Farnworth. Together they have formed a label/agency which is going from strength to strength forging family ties with 6 artists so far on the roster. Showcases have sold out in this country and abroad and their label continues to build momentum.

Biografia

Ha iniziato a fare il DJ nel 2005, trovando il successo locale in Belgio e nei Paesi Bassi con Rock With You (2005) e successivamente una collaborazione con Peter Luts in On My Own (2008).
Arrivato alla ribalta per il grande pubblico col singolo Gregory’s Theme (2011). La canzone è stata scritta originariamente come un omaggio a Hugh Laurie, personaggio televisivo della serie tv Gregory House, divenuto un successo e apprezzato da tutti gli addetti ai lavori tra i quali il celebre Pete Tong.[1]
Ottiene il successo mondiale e la consacrazione con la hit Again and Again. Il brano ha raggiunto la quarta posizione nella classifica del sito di musica elettronica Beatport, restando nella top 10 per oltre un mese e si classifica nelle prime posizioni delle maggiori emittenti radiofoniche di tutto il mondo mentre il video ha superato un milione di visite su YouTube in meno di 8 settimane.[2][3] Prende parte all’edizione 2011 di Tomorrowland.[4]
Realizza remix per artisti famosi, tra cui Kylie Minogue, Moby e Sander Van Doorn. Il suo lavoro più noto di recente è il singolo 212, in cui è accreditato come Lazy Jay.
